Enrollment week decides your year, and most of it happens after the children are in bed. Set each term up as a course with its start date, and a parent picks the one that fits: beginner ballet on Tuesdays, or the twelve weeks of jazz that run to the spring recital. They enroll and pay in the same flow, at whatever hour they finally sit down with the calendar, and the enrollment is on your schedule before you've read a single message about it.

There is a number of dancers your studio can actually hold, and the barre doesn't stretch. Classes and courses carry a capacity limit, so a class stops taking enrollments when it's full instead of leaving you to tell a parent in week one that there isn't space. Levels can be separate services with their own caps, which is what you want when the Tuesday beginner class holds twelve and the preschool class holds eight. They can have their own lengths too, because thirty minutes of preschool ballet and an hour of senior contemporary are not the same booking.

Card payments go through Stripe, both in the booking flow and from your admin panel, so a parent pays for the term as they enroll rather than sending a transfer you have to match up on a Sunday. Adults who come and go can buy a package instead: a block of classes paid up front that draws down one at a time as they book. When a family needs to sort it out later, send a payment link. When someone withdraws in week two, refund it from the dashboard. When the early-enrollment offer needs to do some work, a promotion code does it without you touching your price list. A weekly private lesson can be set to recur, and with the customer's permission, their card is charged each time the lesson happens: for a child's lesson, that's the parent who's paying.

Add each teacher as a staff member, set their shifts, and each one gets their own calendar, so when somebody calls in sick on a Saturday you can see who else is free before the first parent arrives at the door. Private lessons, guest workshops and an hour of studio hire go on the same schedule as services in their own right, booked once or set to repeat. Optional paid add-ons let a service carry a costume fee or an exam entry alongside the booking, instead of an envelope on the front desk and a name you have to remember to check off.
