A beginner group and a top stage swimming lengths carry different risk, not just a different label, and a teacher in the water with either one needs a hard number, because that number is the safety limit. Each stage is its own service with its own limit, set to match the ratio you actually teach to, so a class stops taking children the moment it reaches that number. When a child passes and moves up, next term's booking is a different class rather than a renewal of the old one, and any stage that's already full has stopped taking bookings on its own.
